Big and Beautiful
By Jadestone Doll
I am beautiful, and I don't care what you think about me.
My body may not be perfect, but I have strength in personality.
Too many people like me,let people like you bring them down.
Well I won't stand for it,not ever and not now.
We are all different. We come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.
No one is inferior or better than another.
So what makes you think, you have the right to criticize me?
If you don't like me,you are welcome to leave.I may not look like barbie.
I may not look good in a bikini.I may not be able to wear a size five.
I may be a little round in the middle, and have thunder thighs.
But when I look in the mirror,I know I like what I see,
Because I can appreciate the uniqueness, that makes me me.

Where the Sidewalk Ends

There is a place where the sidewalk endsAnd before the street begins,And there the grass grows soft and white,And there the sun burns crimson bright,And there the moon-bird rests from his flightTo cool in the peppermint wind.Let us leave this place where the smoke blows blackAnd the dark street winds and bends.Past the pits where the asphalt flowers growWe shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,And watch where the chalk-white arrows goTo the place where the sidewalk ends.Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,For the children, they mark, and the children, they knowThe place where the sidewalk ends. Shel Silverstein

because it ia a story that i read it when i was a kid

Remembering a poem

Makin’ It
Work is powerPower is commitmentCommitment means struggleStruggle means progressProgress means persistancePersistance is to love one’s goalA goal is the dreamThe dream is the fateThe fate is the journeyThe journey is god givenGod gives the abilityThe ability to make itThe ability to pursueThe ability to know its comingThen to know its thereTake it and run with itThen to realize you made itThen to pass it onAnd let that one knowWhat it takes to be you, what it takes to make it!
- Devin E Davidson

I chose this poem because i understand what it is saying. You have to know that this poem is about basketball and you have to know tha game of basketball to know what this poem is saying. I am going to memorize this poem because it is about something i love dove doing so it will be easy

why i like my poem

i like my poem because it symbolizes that an old lady can still be as strong as a god, but in the poem it also says that teenagers try to trick old people.
Senior Mirror Lately?
Regretfully did I arrive, Attained the age of fifty-five?But helping counter my chagrin: Senior-discounts kicking in.So, armed with proof that I was bornOne distant, prehistoric morn,It's off to Burger King I go,Full of confidence to knowThat they most certainly will doubt it,Make some kind of fuss about it."A senior burger, if you please,"I tell the lad, "with extra cheese."Carefully, I watch his eyes, for just a hint of real surprise. If only he'd display for mea look of incredulity, Challenge me and watch me chortle, Show this punk that I'm immortal. Why couldn't he just ask for proof? That inconsiderate young goof! Was it cool to vent such rage, Or do I really show my age?
